Unit 8

Jim’s Guide Unit 8:  Conclusion

This brings the course to a finish.

What you need to do:

  1. Readings:
    1. Read as many Student Book Reviews and Student Essays (if they are posted yet) as you can.
  2. Take the Unit 8 Survey in Desire2Learn.  This is a feedback survey that helps me improve the course for future students. I do not grade this survey per se in the sense that I grade individual answers.  In fact, I don’t review answers until after the course grades are submitted so feel free to be completely honest.  However, you will receive 5 points for simply completing the survey. This is a required assignment with points attached.
  3. Study for the final exam. The final exam is based upon the quizzes you have taken.  The questions and answers are not exactly the same, but they are very, very similar.  There will be nothing new on the final that wasn’t on your quizzes.  If you have questions about a quiz question you missed, please email me. Given the online nature of the final exam I cannot open the correct answers to quizzes to review.
  4. Take Final Exam. The final exam will be completed online in Desire2Learn. It is timed at two hours. You may only attempt it once. Once you open the exam, you cannot save it and resume it later, so be sure you have time to complete it when you open the exam.  The exam is 50 questions.  All questions are objective:  multiple choice, T-F, or matching.  Each question is worth 2 points, making the test worth 100 points or 20% of your overall grade.  The final exam will NOT include any questions based on student book reviews or essays. It will only be based on the material tested in quizzes 2-6.
  5. Relax and enjoy your summer (after finishing everything above).
